While writing Rich Internet Application with JavaFX is relatively easy and well documented, fetching data from remote sources seemed more obscure to me. In part one we looked at the ScrollBarOrientation class, where we saw how abstracting away the actual scrolling dimension would help remove code redundancy. In part two we looked at the actual ScrollBarSkin interface and a sample implementation where we saw how a scroll bar could be layed out and painted.

If you are like me, you don't bother with framework's speed too much because you are developing applications for small groups of users. If you are not creating the apps for masses(and frankly, most developers don't) then you are probably struggling different things than just the speed. My primary concern, when evaluating the web frameworks, is how it can help me in developing apps for my many small clients. I'm not developing one or two big applications, but many small (maybe 30-40 different) for not one client but many different clients(companies) . Typical scenario for the client are the many apps that are developed within a few years. The applications must talk to each other in some way, must share common data and must be maintainable easily.
