Shootout between cops and suspected robbers in Delhi, 4 hurt

At least four people have been injured and one dead in an encounter with the police on Monday in Green Park area of south Delhi.  

Fog delays 30 flights

Dense fog disrupted normal operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport here on Monday morning with over 30 domestic and international flights being delayed and six others cancelled. "The fog, which began to descend late last night, affected normal operations at the airport, delaying the flights and diverting one to Jaipur," a source at the airport said. Six flights were cancelled, it said. 

AP High Court dismisses Raju's custody-revision plea

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed pleas seeking a direction to quash a lower court's order sending Ramalinga Raju and two others to police custody, even as a magistrate deferred hearing on their bail applications to January 22. 

Rendered homeless in winter

Nearly 50 families, most of them physically challenged are homeless in south Delhi after their homes were demolished last weekend, allegedly without any notice or warning. Out in the open, Ata-ur-Rehman is not yet used to the cold at nights after the demolition of his one-room jhuggi, which was his home for the last 10 years in the Viklang Basti near Sewa Nagar.
